Nesbitt lands on another preseason honor watch list

Pair of Tech offensive standouts in focus

Media vote lands Tech third in ACC Coastal

Don’t count the preseason media as believing the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will end 2010 the same way they ended 2009.

Picked third in the Coastal Division by members of the media voting for the Atlantic Coast Conference preseason order of finish, the Jackets – the defending ACC champion – earned 11 first-place votes. (Read More…)

National QB award watch list includes Jackets’ Nesbitt

Whether it’s running out of the triple-option offense or throwing downfield against teams stacked to stop the run, Joshua Nesbitt is one of the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks.

The Georgia Tech senior signalcaller is one of 30 quarterbacks to be named to the Davey O’Brien National Award watch list. The award is presented to the top quarterback in college football, and Nesbitt definitely is worthy of watching. (Read More…)

Tech holding Fan Day on Aug. 7

The season does not kick off until Sept. 4, but Georgia Tech football fans itching to see their Yellow Jackets get a chance to do just that nearly a month before toe meets leather.

Georgia Tech will play host to its annual Fan Day on Aug. 7. The 2010 football players, along with members of the volleyball team, will be on hand to sign autographs as the excitement builds toward the start of the fall sports season and in particular for kickoff of Tech’s defense of the Atlantic Coast Conference football championship.
